Introduction
AlertBase ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
1. Data You Provide
- Watchlist tickers you add
- Insiders you follow
- Trade preferences and settings
This data is stored on your device and synced via Apple's iCloud service. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
2. Automatically Collected Data
- We do not collect personal information, analytics, or tracking data
- We do not use third-party analytics SDKs
- We do not track your location
- We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs
3. Notifications
- If you enable notifications, we use Apple's notification system to deliver daily digests and trade alerts
- No notification data is sent to third-party servers
- You can disable notifications at any time in Settings
4. Financial Data
- All insider trading data displayed in the app comes from public SEC EDGAR filings
- Stock price data comes from publicly available sources
- We do not collect or store your financial information, brokerage accounts, or trading activity
5. Purchases
- Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store
- We do not collect or have access to your payment information
- We receive only a transaction receipt to verify your subscription status
Data Storage
- Your watchlist, followed insiders, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
- If you have iCloud enabled, this data syncs across your Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit
- We do not operate our own user database for personal data
- Aggregated public SEC filing data is stored on our servers (Supabase) and served to the app
Third-Party Services
- Apple iCloud — for data sync, governed by Apple's privacy policy
- Apple App Store — for subscription purchases, governed by Apple's privacy policy
- SEC EDGAR — public data source, no personal data shared
- Supabase — database hosting for public SEC data only, not personal data
Data Sharing
- We do not sell your data
- We do not share personal data with third parties
- We do not serve advertisements
Your Rights
- You can delete all your data by deleting the app
- Your iCloud data can be managed through iOS Settings > Apple ID > iCloud
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
Children's Privacy
AlertBase is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated date.
